I got familiar with real fast during SXSW this spring. He cranked out a ton of noteworthy shows during his 5 or so days in Austin, blew the lid off some dates in NYC (jncluding a killer) and all across the country right after, and basically this entire season has belonged to the dashing/cool Brooklyn-based MC. And why not? He’s badass!
London made his name with 2009′s breakout effort, (which was dang charming indeed, just like its creator) and his full-on debut LP is coming on July 19th, to be titled. In all of my twentysomething (cough) years, there have been a handful of flicks that replay, via my eloquent prose, on a daily basis:
“Breakfast Club,” “Tommy Boy,” “Old School,” “Dumb and Dumber,” “Hot Rod”* and “Anchorman” (among a dozen other pointless comedies).
“On the one hand, [we were] being begged to do a sequel for such a long time, and then we finally came up with a concept that we liked, we talked to [Paramount] and everyone was up for it,” Will Ferrell told Entertainment Weekly.
