Angry Birds and Star Wars are on a gaming collision course that is sure to please the fans on both sides. Rovio and Lucasfilm announced Monday that Angry Birds: Star Wars will launch worldwide on November 8. The game will have the Angry Birds cast dressed up as Star Wars characters with game set against storylines and settings of the iconic space opera.
This is the best Angry Birds game weve ever done. Its the best parts of Angry Birds with all new cutting-edge gameplay set in a galaxy far, far away, chief marketing officer of Rovio, Peter Vesterbacka, said in a press release. As a big Star Wars fan myself, Im really excited about this new universe.

Being a massive ’2000AD’ fan, means I’m basically a default Judge Dredd fan, with him 3rd on my list of fave story lines behind Rouge Trooper and ABC Warriors. So I was of course really looking forward to the new film ‘Dredd’, and to be honest, even though I haven’t seen it since it first came out, I didn’t exactly hate the original 1995 film version, but I also knew it wasn’t even close to what it could have been. But this new version looked like it could be what a ‘Dredd’ film should be.
