Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony are ending their 7-year marriage in the way media-saavy celebrities usually do — on late Friday afternoon.
Their reps released a joint statement to Usmagazine.com : “We have decided to end our marriage. This was a very difficult decision. We have come to amicable conclusion on all matters,” they said in a statement. “It is a painful time for all involved, and we appreciate the respect of our privacy at this time.” (Appreciate it all you want; you won’t bet getting it.)
Lopez and Anthony, who renewed their vows a couple of times and welcomed twins Max and Emme three years ago, dated briefly in the 1990s, then came together again in the wake of Lopez’s high-profile split from Ben Affleck and amidst Anthony’ divorce from former Miss Universe Dayanara Torres. (He actually married Lopez four days after his divorce was finalized.)
It was Lopez’ third marriage after relatively brief unions with restauranteur Ojani Noa and former backup dancer Cris Judd.
