S.C.U.M are set to release their eagerly awaited debut album Again Into Eyes on Mute on the 12 September 2011.
A genuinely triumphant arrival, the album features ten stunning tracks including forthcoming single ‘Amber Hands’, that reel from glorious carnival-esque euphoria to a sound that occasionally flirts at melancholy and utter despair.
Again Into Eyes was recorded in London with producers Ken and Jolyon Thomas (whose credits individually and together include Sigur Ros, M83, David Bowie, Psychic TV), the album standouts include ‘Faith Unfolds’, ‘Summon The Sound’, which featured on Mute’s recent exclusive Record Store Day vinyl release Vorwarts and the utopian, future-disco monolith that is ‘Whitechapel’. The ladies arrived at the park separately and with their own parties, but their visits overlapped by a day and they were able to meet up for a photo!
“After riding the Rockin Roller coaster 4x my hair looks like a cross btwn Diana Ross, Chaka Khan, & Chaka(Land of the Lost) I’m real pretty,” Audra tweeted on Monday evening.
“Didn’t take a pic. Will tweet a pic after space mountain tomorrow – I’m sure it will give me the same glorious look,” Audra added. Ha!

Jordin Sparks is making the most of her summertime: She’s performing live on the U.S. Capitol’s West Lawn for PBS’s A Capitol Fourth (July 4, check listings) and was named a Student Ambassador with People to People Ambassador Program. That means she’ll be traveling the globe with a group of lucky students to help broaden their horizons and multi-cultural perspective.
“It’s an amazing opportunity,” Sparks, 21, told Parade. “These kids deserve it and I absolutely love kids. I only get to take one person and I’m taking my younger brother since it’s his last summer before he starts college. It’s going to be a good brother-sister trip and I’m really excited!”
The American Idol alum also talked about what she thinks of this past season’s finalists, how she got into amazing shape, and the possibility of an acting career. Full Post…
